At Least 10 People Killed In Fresh Boko Haram Attack In Ngamdu

Boko Haram stormed Ngamdu village for the fourth time, firing machine guns and other deadly weapons at motorists this afternoon, at least 10 people has been killed and several other injured.
At least 10 people have been killed in an attack by Boko Haram in Ngamdu, a village along Maiduguri-Damaturu road, about 100 kilometres away from Maiduguri on Tuesday, a truck driver told newsmen.
Boko Haram stormed Ngamdu village for the fourth time, firing machine guns and other deadly weapons at motorists this afternoon, at least 10 people has been killed and several other injured.
"As we were approaching the Ngamdu village we saw people were running into bush. We parked our car and we started hearing heavy gunshots and were told many travellers may have been killed,” the same source told Newsmen.
A commercial driver, who was seriously injured, told Newsmen at Umoru Shehu Comphensive Hospital that many people had been killed but that “I thank God for saving my life it was just as if I was dreaming."
He disclosed that three drivers and some passengers were struck by bullets as they attempted to escape the attack at Ngamdu. He said the victims are in a hospital in Maiduguri, receiving treatment.
Newsmen in the area saw blood everywhere at a hospital emergency unit from the victims of the attack.
