Sunshine Stars home ground, Ondo State Sports Stadium has been sanctioned to host Nigeria Premier League games for the 2014/2015 league season.
The stadium was cleared by Mike Okophime who inspected on behalf of the League Management Company.
According to the chairman of the state Sports Council, Elder Mike Adeyeye expressed satisfaction with the state of the art facilities on ground.
"What is on the ground here in Akure is enough for anybody to give express approval for the stadium to be used for any sporting event, not only football. The facilities are in good shape to host major sporting events,” he said.
"I must confess that the Ondo State Sports Stadium, the home ground of Sunshine Stars FC is in a very perfect condition to host matches of the 2014 / 2015 league season.
Aside from the inspection of the Astroturf, flood lights, dressing rooms, score board, medical unit, generating set amongst other facilities.
