Iran nuclear talks: Obama 'confident' of reaching deal by June

President Barack Obama pauses while speaking in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, Thursday, April 2, 2015
The White House has said it is "confident" of reaching a final deal over Iran's nuclear programme by an end-of-June deadline.
A framework agreement struck on Friday will see Iran curb nuclear activities in return for relief from sanctions.
US Republicans sceptical to the deal have threatened to derail it or impose new sanctions.
President Obama said he had begun efforts to win over sceptical members of Congress.

Mr Obama spoke to all four congressional leaders on Friday, White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.
Republicans control both US Houses of Congress, and there is bipartisan support for a bill which would give Congress the right to review any deal before sanctions are lifted. Mr Obama has threatened to veto it.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is also Iran"s top nuclear negotiator, waves to his well wishers upon arrival at the Mehrabad airport in Tehran, Iran

In his speech on Thursday hailing the deal, the president anticipated his critics.
"If Congress kills this deal not based on expert analysis, and without offering any reasonable alternative, then it's the United States that will be blamed for the failure of diplomacy."
Despite the domestic pressure, the White House gave another upbeat assessment of the deal.
"We defied the odds," Mr Schultz said. "I do think there's a lot of work to be done, but we are confident that we can get those details in place."
Iran's President, Hassan Rouhani, has vowed it will abide by the terms of the preliminary nuclear agreement it signed with six world powers, so long as they do too.
He said the deal marked a step towards changing Iran's relationship with the world: "Today is a day that will remain in the historic memory of the Iranian nation.
"Some think that we must either fight the world or surrender to world powers. We say it is neither of those, there is a third way. We can have co-operation with the world."
Mr Rouhani is also expected to face opposition from conservative critics at home, although clerics praised the agreement at Friday prayers.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that it posed a grave danger to the region, in particular his own country.
He said any compressive accord, due before 30 June, had to include a "clear and unambiguous Iranian recognition of Israel's right to exist".
Under Thursday's terms, Iran must slash its stockpile of enriched uranium that could be used in a nuclear weapon and cut by more than two-thirds the number of centrifuges that could be used to make more.
In return, UN sanctions and separate measures imposed unilaterally by the US and EU will be gradually suspended as the global nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), confirms Iranian compliance.

1 comment:

  1. Obama is confident in the “Worship of Freedom Rights”.

Israel demands, in the name of freedom of rights, its right to existence.
Iran demands, also in the name of freedom of rights, its right to nuclear power.
( Israel may not have nuclear energy but it does have nuclear weapons.)

Both believe in the SAME "IMAGE OF FREEDOM" for their rights.

(by the way, the Palestinians also demand, in the name of freedom, their right to exist as a state within their claimed land....which the Israelis believe instead to be rightfully theirs.)

President Obama has confessed that this FREEDOM is the light, righteousness, and way of peace of man.

So why does this "FREEDOM" produce instead conflict and hatred?

FREEDOM OF RIGHTS in itself is not preoccupied with the well being of the other...it is preoccupied first and foremost with the freedom for oneself to do what one establishes to be right in their own eyes....as Cain arrogantly and defiantly declared after he killed his brother Abel " ...am I my brother's keeper?!"

And this FREEDOM dictates that it is RIGHT, a right, to be free to worship ANY 'god'.
...for this FREEDOM confesses that the Jews are free to worship their gods.
...for this FREEDOM confesses that the Christians are free to worship their gods.
...for this FREEDOM confesses that the Muslims are free to worship their gods.
...and this same FREEDOM confesses that man is free and has the rights to be a fornicator, an adulterer, an abortionist, a homosexual, a polygamist, a sorcerer, a liar, a warrior, a capitalist, a communist, etc.

BUT the One Creator said that man is to worship Only Him, that it is sin to worship other gods, that man is not free to worship other gods...for the penalty of doing so is death ( yes, man will be judged by the One God...no freedom of choice here)

And His Anointed Son, the Lord Jesus said that it is written that man is to worship the One Lord your Creator and Him Alone to serve in obedience and love, love for Him first and foremost and love for, to do good to, the fellowman (friend or foe).

Very soon, the Lord Jesus Christ will return to rule the earth as the One King according to the Will of the One Creator 'I AM' and NOT according to man's first love for "his freedom" to establish "good and evil" for his self desires, to do what is right in his own eyes, to serve and magnify oneself (XES)....and there will be great anger and intense weeping when man's freedom will be no more.
