APPLICATION FOR 2014/2015 POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION

Masters in Public Administration (DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION)

Admission Requirements

  • An applicant for admission to the programme shall be a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife or a graduate of any other approved University The applicant shall normally possess a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) Honours degree to be eligible for admission. In exceptional cases candidates from OAU with third class degree may be considered under certain conditions as stipulated in the regulations concerning postgraduate studies. However, other candidates in the same category with at least 7 years post qualification experience may also be considered.

  • Candidates with the following qualifications are also eligible for admission: Postgraduate diploma degree in Public Administration or any cognate discipline; and/or Professional qualifications/membership of such institutes as Chartered Institute of Management (CIM), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and such other recognized professional institutes. Entry requirements into any of these institutes must satisfy those for admission into first degree programmes of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Postgraduate Diploma in Research Administration(DIRECTORATE OF LINKAGES AND SPONSORED RESEARCH)

Admission Requirements

Application is open to holders of a minimum of first degree not below Third Class in any field of endeavour from any recognized degree awarding institutions who additionally satisfy any of the following conditions:
  1. Involvement in research administration
  2. Direct involvement in research
  3. Desire a career in research administration

Postgraduate Diploma in ICT Policy and Regulations (AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE POLICY AND INNOVATION)

Admission Requirements

Application is open to graduates of Obafemi Awolowo University or any other university recognized by the Senate of Obafemi Awolowo University in any discipline with a minimum of Third Class degree. Candidates with recognized professional qualifications approved by Senate (such as COREN, ICAN) can also apply.

Postgraduate Certificate in Gender Studies and Social Development (CENTRE FOR GENDER AND SOCIAL POLICY STUDIES)

Admission Requirements

Candidates for the Post Graduate Professional Certificate Course in Gender Studies must have a minimum of Third Class degree in any discipline from any recognized University.

Duration for the Programmes

Each Executive Masters programme will last for a minimum of 2 academic Sessions, Postgraduate Diploma Programmes last for a minimum of one academic session and Postgraduate Certificate Programmes will last for a minimum of 3 Month period.


Method of Application

  1. Pay the Application fee of N20,000.00 through the eTranzact Network from any branch of the following Banks: Skye Bank, First Bank, or UBA. Alternatively, you can pay with your ATM card (Verve or Master card) by clicking on "Pay using your card" after creating the account.
  2. Create your Account by supplying a Username, Password and a valid E-mail Address.
  3. Confirm your Payment by entering the Receipt Number and the Confirmation Order Number in the appropriate places (if you are paying through etranzact).
  4. Fill your form, upload all the supporting documents as well as a very recent passport photograph (should not be earlier than 3 Months).
  5. Print your Transcript Label and follow all the other necessary Instructions.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
i. The forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website.
ii. Valid email address, scanned/digital passport photograph (50kb Max) and scanned credentials have to be uploaded to complete the online application.
iii. After completing the form, Applicants must print their Transcript Label and forward it alongside with their official Transcripts to:
