UNIJOS DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE OFFERED FOREIGN GRANT


Image result for UnijosThe University of Jos, Department of Political Science has secured a
grant of Six Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty Eight, United States
Dollars ($6,848 USD) for building the capacity of its teaching staff.
The grant was secured from a United States Research-based
organization, the Partnership for African Social and Governance
Research (PASGR).
The grant funding is in support of a collaborative programme leading
to the award of a Masters Degree in Research and Public Policy
(MRPP). It includes training for the MRPP teaching staff.
The
objectives of the training are to deepen the staff understanding of
MRPP course content and to address any knowledge gaps, to acquire
knowledge and skills in innovative pedagogy as well as the practical
application of innovative teaching modalities in simulated classroom
situation. This is in addition to engaging in activities that foster a
community of practice around the programme.
Meantime, the University of Jos, Department of Political Science has
secured an additional Six Thousand, Nine Hundred United States
Dollars ($ 6,900 USD) as an IT Grant of for the procurement of
technical equipment.
The equipment include; HP Generation 8 Server, Windows Operating
System, Routers, UPS, Laptops, Video Camera and other accessories
such as Voice recorders, Projector and Projector screen.
