Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, has received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).National Assembly members-elect were also issued their certificates at a brief ceremony in the INEC headquarters in Maiduguri.
Federal Commissioner of INEC in charge of Borno, Bauchi and Yobe states, Mohammed Hammangga, thanked people of the region for their cooperation throughout the general election.
In his acceptance remarks, Governor Shettima saluted the Internally Displaced Persons for their patriotism by showing so much interest in the electioneering process.
He invited his political opponents to put away their differences and join him in rebuilding the state.
