I'm going to share here tops that will help you excel in University of Benin Post-UTME exams.

1. Get UNIBEN Post UTME Past Question: This is apparently the most important thing any serious student would get. I remember writing my Post-UDE exam and quite a number of the questions were repeated. This helped me save time because timing is so important since you don't have the whole day after all.

2. Review Past JAMB-UTME and even WAEC Past Questions: Perhaps you probably have not heard but it's a fact that the Comprehension Passages set in UNIBEN Post-UTME exams are basically WAEC past questions. Also, many of the other subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Literature-in-English, and Commerce are repeated in the same way however few.

FG Declares May1st A Public Holiday

May 1st, 2015 has been declared a public holiday by the Federal government to commemorate the 2015 Workers' Day.

Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi students are now required to check their examinations results online henceforth.

This is to inform all the students of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi (FPTB) that henceforth, they are now required to start checking their results on the polytechnic’s portal at https://portal.fptb.edu.ng.
To access your result, follow the link above, login with the registration number and the password you set during course registration. Once in, click on the Result link on the left menu.
All students using their registration or application numbers as password will be forced to change it before they can access any information including the result. This is to protect their privacy.
NB: The results are being uploaded in batches as made available, so please be patient if yours is not uploaded yet. LAUTECH Notice on 2014/2015 Matriculation Ceremony

This is to inform all Fresh Students that the 2014/2015 Matriculation Ceremony has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

OSPOLY Matriculates 2800 for 2014/2015

The Osun State Polytechnic recently matriculated 2,800 students who were admitted in the 2014/2015 academic session.

Speaking during the ceremony the Rector disclosed that the institution has signed a Memoranda of Understanding with some foreign institutions, including the Sussex University, London to enable the institutions to collaborate in running higher degree courses.

He added that the partnership will help the students of the institution ton stand out among their colleagues as it will boost their exposure and experience.

He finally warned the students against engaging in cultism or violence, emphasizing that indiscipline of any kind will not be tolerated.

Three CBT Centres used for the 2015 UTME has been blacklisted by JAMB.

According to JAMB’s Public Relations Mr Fabian Benjamin, “We noticed that owners of these centres, out of greed, presented to us facilities that did not belong to them just because they wanted to be part of the examination.

“They were not sincere enough to let the organisers of the examination know that they did not have all the necessary backups needed by JAMB as a prerequisite for the accreditation of any centre that would want to host the examination.

UNILAG Important Notice to Unregistered Students 2014/2015

UNIBEN Appoints New Registrar

The University of Benin Governing Council has confirmed the appointment of Mrs. Otasowie Adefunke Oshodin as the Substantive Registrar of the University.

The newly appointed registrar is the wife of the immediate past Vice Chancellor Prof. Osayuki Godwin Oshodin

This decision was taken at the One hundred and Forty-second meeting of the Governing Council where the report of the interview panel was considered.

Before her appointment she was the Deputy Registrar, Staff Training and Labour Relations in the institution.

She will replace the incumbent Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Gladys Ogboghodo whose tenure will expire on on 7th May, 2015.

86,365 candidates registered for the 2015 Unity Schools entrance examinations, while the available admission slots is 24,000.

The permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Dr MacJoch Nwaobiala while monitoring the conduct of the examination in some centres within Abuja yesterday said, ‘86,365 candidates registered for the 2015 National Common Entrance Examination into Federal Government Colleges and Federal Science and Technical Colleges nationwide’.
Lagos state was sait to have topped the list with 25,437 registered candidates; Borno State kept the rear with 55 candidates.

University of Lagos, UNILAG schedule for processing of online dockets for 2014/2015 academic year 1st semester examination.

Authorities of the University of Lagos have released the schedule for the processing of on-line dockets for the 1st semester 2014/2015 academic session examination.
Computer based GST examinations, for all faculties except Faculty of Education, will hold from Monday, May 25 to Thursday, May 28, 2015. The GST examinations for Faculty of Education and visually-impaired students will hold from Monday, June 1 to Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at designated centres.

Obiageli Ezekwesili, co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, former Nigerian Minister of Education, and former World Bank vice president for Africa, tells Al Jazeera’s Head to Head that Nigerian armed forces have committed human rights abuses in their fight against the violent group Boko Haram in the north of the country. “It clearly does have instances where human rights violations have happened,” she says.

I was informed about a recent interview by Bode George in one of the national dailies and felt it necessary to clarify his claim that I begged him for forgiveness. Indonesia has executed 8 of the 9 people convicted for drug offenses. The men all pictured above were taken to a jungle clearing on the island Nusakambangan according to local media reports and were executed at midnight Indonesia time by 12 police privates (that would be about 6pm Nigerian time). The only woman amongst them, Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso, was spared last minute after new information emerged about her case. A woman who reportedly tricked her into carrying drugs turned herself in earlier today. The bodies of the men will be taken by road to Jakarta later today.

Heavily armed firing squad in full body armour have been spotted in a boat heading to the Indonesian prison island of Nusakambangan where 9 men, including 4 Nigerians, convicted of drug offenses are due to be shot tonight. The men will be shot in the heart and their coffins have already been taken to the Island. No clemency, despite pleas from the prisoners' families and world organizations.

Abraham Adeyemi, a five-year-old boy pictured above, believed to have been kidnapped in Lagos has been found in Ogun State. Abraham was found loitering in front of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Imedu Nla, Mowe, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area in Ogun state on Sunday April 26th and brought to the Nigerian Union of Journalists secretariat, Iwe Iroyin, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta by the state police spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi yesterday April 27th.

A lot of people have been waiting for Wendy's opinion on the Bruce Jenner interview and on her show yesterday, she spoke about it...but she kinda backtracked a bit from her initial bashing of Bruce saying instead that the interview made her cry and called him brave. But Wendy being Wendy, she wasn't all positive. After commending Bruce, she called him 'Fame hungry'...

Drama ensued at the Ejigbo Magistrate court in Lagos State today when a self-professed prophet, Destiny Onwudinjo, who is on trial for assault and obtaining money under false pretense suddenly jumped from the dock and ran out of the court today April 28th.
According to PM News, Prophet Onwudinjo was arrested by the police at Shasha Division for brutalizing a commercial motorcycle rider, Chika Izuogu pictured above for refusing to pay him N120,000 for deliverance prayer.

Photos: Chaos in Onitsha after police man shoots driver dead

Yesterday, a policeman allegedly shot dead a 'Hero' beer truck driver during a road rage in Onitsha, Anambra state. According to eye-witnesses, the truck driver had parked his truck in a manner the policeman said was disturbing other road users. The policeman who was part of an escort van came down from his police vehicle, approached the truck and an argument ensued. For reasons best known to the police officer, he opened fire and shot dead the truck driver.

This morning, an angry mob, including truck drivers and conductors came out in their numbers to protest the death of their colleague. They burnt tyres and blocked the gate leading to the company where the policeman worked. A 27 year old Nigerian man, Oloruntoba Adisa who worked as a bouncer in clubs in the UK has been arraigned before a UK court for stealing phones from clients who came to the club where he worked.

According to Manchester Evening News, Oloruntoba has a history with the UK law enforcement officers with crimes bordering on stealing phones and money from some club goers. Few months ago, Oloruntoba was caught on CCTV stealing a Samsung S3 and £90 from a woman who had come clubbing. He hid the items in his coat and a search carried out by the club management showed he had 2 iphones stolen from other customers hidden in his coat.

According to the report, payment of subsidies for petrol (PMS) and kerosene (DPK) between January 2012 and July 2013 when investigated had a difference of $980 million (about N195 billion) due to duplicated payments.

$20bn Oil Money: Editor Who Gave Clues Flees Nigeria After Assasination Attempt - Politics

The Publisher of Africa Oil and Gas Report, a magazine focusing on the petroleum sector, Toyin Akinosho, has fled Nigeria, following threats to his life, supposedly on account of scathing revelations about the corruption in the industry published by his magazine.

It is believed that Alhaji Maina misappropriated billions of naira worth of pension funds, which he claimed to have recovered from pension thieves. Some groups from the South-east and South-south regions of the country have called for self-rule and self-determination for the regions.

21 killed by Boko Haram in Yobe State

21 persons are feared dead after suspected Boko Haram members ambushed them in Bultaram village in Gujba Local government area of Yobe state on Monday April 27th. Baba Nuhu, an official of the local government where the men were killed, said the victims, all male, had gone to their deserted village to see if they could collect some food when they were ambushed and shot dead by the sect members. According to AFP, the victims and their families had taken refuge in Damaturu the Yobe state capital after the sect members attacked their village some months back

In his interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner revealed that Kim was the most supportive of all his children/step children. Speaking about Bruce's transition for the first time, Kim told Today Show;

A 25-year-old Michigan woman Kim Pappas was charged with homicide after giving birth to a son in a bathroom stall at work. Kim didn't tell anyone she was pregnant.
